a variation of acupressure/acupuncture

I know someone who does shiatsu and Jin Shin Jyitsu(? on spelling) near where I live. She's awesome. You can go in feeling tired and stiff and walk out feeling like you could run a marathon. I've felt this way so I know. That's what you call a really good session! Although with Carol, every session is really good. I always leave her office feeling so much better than when I walk in. Sometimes I am not aware of how thing feel until after the work. I carry stress and tension in my legs but usually don't feel it until afterwards when they feel like jelly and oh so good.

Vote

I feel that to request a single vote is totally unrelated to one's favorite therapy. Each therapy is indicated in in different situations than the others. Chiropracty will not cure a cold, or stimulate the energy points that massage might do, or help with the body's need for supplemental strengthening such as the homeopathic remedies might offer.
I voted for "one", and found it to be completely unsatisfactory.

rating most helpful wellness therapy

good health begins in the colon, it is where you absorb the most nutrients. Also, it is how you eliminate the toxins in your body. Many Americans suffer from chronic constipation and chronic illness because of it!

Most helpful wellness

Most helpful wellness therapy? Honestly, I don't know. But I do know that the therapy listed that I LIKE the best is a good massage. If you consider healthful eating as a form of therapy, then I think it is the most helpful.

favorite wellness therapy

I voted for the chiropractic therapy as ONE of my top wellness therapies. I have a chiropractor who is a craniopath. If you have never had cranial adjustments you do not know what you are missing. Also, this is just one of my top therapies as I believe it is not just one, but multiple, therapies that promote one's wellness.

Wellness Techniques

I have found Ayurveda pulse diagnosis and herbal preparations superior to most other types of wellness programs that I have tried but I am sure TCM would work just as well. The important thing is to have an expert in that area who really knows what he is doing.

I just wanted to add Feldenkrais to this list. It is an "Awareness through Movement" approach to health that encompasses not only the physical, but also the emotional and mental aspects of our being. I had tried many other approaches in my efforts to understand and heal the pain I had in my back and legs. Feldenkrais has completely corrected the problem, and I, on top of that, love it and continue to practice it regularly, both in a small group and with a practicioner. Basically it is learning to move in new ways as you open up new pathways between the nervous system and the brain, clearing blocks to movement that have probably been in place for years.

I was surprised to find that exercise was not on your list of "wellness therapies". Of any contribution to my health that I have a "choice" in applying to my body, exercise rates top.

Emotional Freedom Technique (EFT) Works Wonders & It's Free

EFT is a wonderful healing tool that anyone can learn. It is as simple as tapping on a few acupressure points and repeating some positive statements. You can download a free manual on how to learn and apply EFT at www.emofree.com

Most Helpful Wellness Therapy

It was hard to pick just one therapy, and what I thought was the best. I have benefitted from all but the colonics (which I plan to add in the near future). I wouldn't be able to move if it wasn't for some gifted body workers who used chiropractic, accupuncture, deep tissue massage and homeopathic remedies all at the same time. I really don't have one favorite.

Yoga and tai chi twice a week!

I have recently become

I have recently become interested in EFT by Gary Craig. It incorporates
Acupressure points and I think there may be valuable use from doing this
special Tapping. It would be interesting to know how you feel about EFT.

Thanks so much...I enjoy your Newsletter very much.

Chiropractic

I voted deep tissue massage as I really find after a thorough massage not only does the process feel good but usually there is certain pains you feel after. Usually it is a good analysis of which body parts are healthy as a deep tissue massage should not cause any pain to a healthy individual. Usually it causes self awareness, the painful areas are places that I had not stretched in a few months or did not take care of properly after intensive sports.

More importantly, I wanted to comment because I have never had Chiropractic adjustments done, being a young individual, others tell me it's not necessary. However, I've had prolonged soreness in one corner of the lower back, it isn't excessively bothersome but I always wanted to see a chiropractor about it as stretching and weight training has not made it go away. Anyways, just wanted to mention this poll would be biased since I voted but I had not even tried one of the options so I cannot compare.

Meridian Flexibility System

My favorite wellness therapy by far is assisted stretching with the Resistance Flexibility & Strength Training (RFST) method. The system's incorporation of Traditional Chinese Medicine takes the practice beyond the physical by also improving spiritual, emotional, and psychological health.
