Is Responsible Use of Psychedelics Worth Looking Into?

In learning from books and podcasts featuring Michael Pollan and Paul Stamets over the past year, I've come to believe that in some circumstances, it's worth looking into responsible use of psychedelics with sufficient preparation and help from an experienced and trustworthy guide.

My experiences in being a health care provider with a special interest in emotional well-being have made it clear to me that sometimes, it is exceedingly difficult for some people to transcend psychological wounds solely with cognitive-behavioural therapy and other effective systems of self development like neuro-linguistic programming. In such cases, where there aren't clear contraindications to responsible use of a psychedelic - such as a predisposition to experiencing schizophrenia and other psychotic disorders like bipolar I and II - proper use of psilocybin or another psychedelic may be helpful in shifting momentum for the better.

If you're at all interested in learning more about responsible use of psychedelics and other contraindications, I highly recommend reading Michael Pollan's book, How to Change Your Mind:
