This premium coconut milk powder makes it super easy to make your own healthy coconut milk. Just combine equal parts of warm or hot water with this premium coconut milk powder in a jar, close tight, and give it a good shake. The result is a delicious, clean, and rich coconut milk that's perfect for drinking on its own, or to use with cereals and any dishes that call for milk.

This is the perfect choice for people who want to make thier own preservative-free coconut milk at home - almost all varieties of canned coconut milk come with some preservatives.

If you use less water, you can use this premium coconut milk powder to make your own coconut cream.

Both coconut milk and coconut cream make excellent additions to smoothies, desserts, sauces, and dishes that call for real coconut goodness, like coconut curry vegetables.

Our coconut milk powder is made from spray dried natural extract of coconut kernel. Because it's made with pure coconut, it's naturally sweet, and is rich in healthy fatty acids that your body can use to nourish all of your cell membranes. 

There are no preservatives or sweeteners in this product.  Our coconut milk powder is produced in Vietnam using coconuts that are organically grown - there is never exposure to herbicides or pesticides.   We add a trace amount of gum acacia (0.5 percent) to facilitate better flow of our coconut milk powder.

Please note that our premium coconut milk powder comes in a re-sealable pouch.  For ease of use, we recommend transfering our coconut milk powder to a wide-mouth jar or bottle with a tight lid, and storing in your pantry.  Coconut milk powder should not be stored in your refrigerator.  

Please also note that our coconut milk powder contains around 65% coconut oil, which becomes solid at temperatures below 76 degrees F.  If you find that our coconut milk powder hardens, simply store at room temperature (above 76 degrees F) and it will become powdery again.  Because we do not use any traces of caseinate as an anti-caking agent, our coconut milk powder may be slightly more clumpy than traditional powders that come with caseinate. But this is where the 0.5 percent gum acacia content comes into play, helping to keep the coconut milk powder free flowing.

Being a purely natural product, we do not include a dissolving agent, so for best results, you should use warm or hot water to get a decent mix.  The more powder you use, the richer the milk or cream.  This product is designed to make coconut milk or cream for immediate use - it doesn't work well as a larger batch of coconut milk powder that would sit in the refrigerator, as some separation will occur.  Many people add it to smoothies, some eat it straight up, others make a cup of coconut milk at a time to enjoy on its own or a smaller amount as an addition to tea or coffee.  The possibilities are truly endless!

Health Benefits of Coconut

Although coconut's reputation suffered a great deal in the 80's and 90's due to its high saturated fatty acid content and the widely promoted belief that saturated fatty acids are bad for health, today, leading scientists, nutritionists, and doctors agree that saturated fatty acids are needed for optimal health, and that eating coconuts can help your health in many ways.

Coconut may speed up your metabolism and increase your energy levels.

It’s true that about 92 percent of the fatty acids in coconut are saturated. What many doctors have overlooked for years is that over two-thirds of these saturated fatty acids are medium-chain fatty acids (MCFA). MCFAs are different from other varieties of saturated fatty acids in that as soon as they enter your bloodstream, they are taken to your liver where they are converted to energy. While other dietary fats and even excess carbohydrates can be stored as fat in your cells, the MCFAs found in coconut provide an almost immediate source of energy and may actually speed up your metabolism.

Because of its potential ability to speed up metabolism, coconut is a good food choice for people with sluggish thyroid glands, as well as for people who find it difficult to shed unwanted weight.

Coconut may soothe digestive problems.

Many people who have suffered with inflammatory conditions of the intestines, like Crohn’s disease, have successfully used coconut for its anti-inflammatory and soothing properties. Love this product. When it was not available I tried another product and it was terrible. I could not find any other product on the market that was as pure and delicious as this one.
The directions on the package aren't great. Says to mix equal amounts powder to warm water. The serving size is 20 grams that equals 3T. If you make 1 cup, that is more than 5 servings.

I'm in my seventies, overweight and trying to improve my health. I came back to your site Dr. Kim, and began reading some of your articles to find out where I fell short in my personal habits.

I quit drinking coffee in the morning, drank a big glass of water first thing, and then a hot cup of (2Tbsp) Coconut milk powder, (1 heaping tsp.) Acerola Cherry powder and (2 tsp.) Organic gelatin powder. It's only been a month, but I'm starting to feel better and not so hungry all the time. When I do get hungry before I should, I eat an apple!

Wow does that work.

Now my skin is looking better (not so thin and transparent) and with fewer breakouts. The weight is coming down slowly, but with the added energy that I'm starting to feel, I don't think it will be long before I can get rid of my "fat" clothes.

Without the Coconut milk powder, I don't think this morning ritual would have worked. As long as I mix all of the ingredients completely before I add hot water from my coffee machine, it mixes perfectly and without clumping. Plus, well it's really yummy and easy on the stomach!

I use this powder so many ways.this is my latest giddy discovery: i add a spoonful to my eggs before scrambling.they turn out so fluffy!.i had heard that folks add whipping cream to their scrambled eggs, but i love this non-dairy option better!

I use this as a creamer in my brewed cacao or coffee. Just stir it in while hot. I also use it to make coconut milk for recipes. It's easy to take along on trips, in a small container. Love the flavor and the benefits!

I bought this but have not yet used it. I want to make something that calls for coconut cream, and so far it seems the reviews say to make it like the consistency of the canned stuff. But I do not have the canned stuff and do not want to get it for comparison. So could someone let me know how much I should use to make coconut cream? I would really appreciate it.

I gave this a #3 review because of the lack of instructions on the label The taste is a #5. Product label directions and nutrition information lacking. Directions to mix equal parts powder to warm water. I mixed 2 cups powder to 2 cups water and refrigerated. The high fat content and lower temperature caused it to solidify. Well, after reading reviews, I find out you do not prepare ahead, and you do not refrigerate the powder. These instructions are not on the label. Some reviews say to mix 1-2 Tablespoons powder to 1 cup warm water. That seems more like it. I also found out from the reviews you increase or decrease the amount of powder according to the strength of milk or cream you desire.
Also very difficult to determine nutritional facts. The label uses 20gram serving which I determined was about 1/4c or 3 Tablespoons. The label lists kcal. Is this the same measure as calories? The saturated fats are not listed. I am following Weight Watchers and would like to determine the "points" and this information is needed to determine that.
Thank you for a wonderful product, please improve the label.

Dear God this stuff is amazing. I can't get over the flavor, the texture, the versatility, the wonderfulness! I have been looking for coconut milk that is not tainted by canning process or chemicals and what not. This one is just about perfect. I can take it on the go and use as I need it. Today I am going to make a curry with it and I cannot wait! This morning I made my regular latte like I do but this time I added this powder to my half and half and frothed it with the machine and dear God it made the MOST delicious wonderful latte ever!!! I want to try it in cereal next. Thank you Dr. Ben Kim!!

Absolutely love Dr Kim's coconut milk powder. Even thought it gets lumpy, I much rather have it that way than mixed with all kinds of emulsifiers and chemicals. I love to eat it just out of the package. It's creamy, delicious and good for you.

I bought this long ago before appreciating coconut for what a remarkable food/oil/drink it is (and even buy the coir for my garden). So happy to buy several bags now on sale as I remember its flavor was awesome. QUESTION: has anyone tried fermenting/culturing this particular powder--ratios--timing? Thank you Dr Kim!!

I ran out of Dr. Ben's coconut milk powder recently, so I bought a bag from my local health food store. Unfortunately, it has maltodextrin and caseinate in it, which I do not appreciate, especially after having Dr. Ben's pristine powder of coconut only. And, I do not appreciate having to whisk that other product into my coffee, it's not supposed to have lumps and take so much whisking to get rid of them in hot liquid (thanks to the added ingredients they put in theirs)! It seems that everybody else has put additives into their powder, even when it's organic. I love Dr. Ben's powder, and now I realize that I will simply have to treat myself to buying it (I find the price very reasonable, but with the added delivery charge, it does then become a bit pricey). Now I see it's worth it!

P.S. Have you ever considered free delivery if one buys a certain dollar amount?

I read all the reviews, thank you everyone for all your great tips, which I may not have thought of -- my only thought when I bought it was to use in my coffee. I especially liked the tips to use in yogurt and oatmeal and to sprinkle on frozen fruit for dessert. I'm scanning the 'Net for ways to cook with it, as well. So happy, as I thought it would take quite a long time to use all of it up by only using in coffee! Thanks again, everyone!

Although I'm not a fan of coconut milk plain (wish I was), I absolutely love this powder to use as a dessert. I take frozen organic cherries and sprinkle with as much powder as I feel like having and eat it. YUM!

We love the convienence and quality of this dense milk powder. I just mix it up with a small amount of hot water for dissolving and add cold water to create the amount and consistency I desire. It is great to have on hand whenever I need it for creamer, milk or even ice cream making!

This coconut powder is absolutely the best out there! The coconut milk it makes actually tastes like coconut unlike the watered-up, preservative loaded store bought coconut milk. I even like to eat it as is, fantastic flavor and my little dachshund loves it too! I like to put two heaping tablespoons of powder to 16oz lukewarm water for a heavier, creamy coconut milk, and blended with my blender for perfect consistency. It might work out to be a little bit more expensive than the fake coconut milk in the store but, there is no doubt it's worth the extra money.

This powder is yummy. The little clumps break up easily, but my problem is I tend to eat them like candy. They are as addictive and satisfying as chocolate. Consequently my bag got used much more quickly than I expected. I'll have to order two bags next time.

Just a question; how much milk does this 2.2 lbs make?


Hi Rich,

I have found that everyone has their own preference for consistency of coconut milk, so I don't make any standard recommendations for amount of coconut milk powder per cup of water.

For me, I like one heaping tablespoon of coconut milk powder per 12 ounces of water for my coconut milk. And I have found that one pouch of 2.2 pounds lasts me about 90 days making this amount daily. But if you prefer something more mild or rich, you can adjust by adding less or more coconut milk powder. Once you go through one pouch, you will have a good idea of how long each pouch will last you.

I hope this helps to some degree.

This is the best tasting coconut milk around! It tastes so much better than the ones that come in cartons, and I can make as much as I like without wasting it. I love the convenience of the coconut powder. This is a delicious alternative for milk in my morning cereal and to stir into my cooked oatmeal for added flavor. I will try it in my coffee too. When I open the jar I get that amazing aroma of fresh coconuts and the flavor is smooth and creamy.

I blended in 3 Tablespoons of Coconut Powder to 1 Qt of my homemade yogurt, before incubating. It added extra healthy richness and a wonderful coconut taste. I topped this yogurt with diced pineapple, banana, chopped walnuts, and bit of dried coconut. A lovely tropical taste.

I am completely addicted to using this in my coffee! So much so that I carry a small container with me to work and travel. I just use a teaspoon or so. It smooths out the bitterness and adds a slight coconut flavor that blends well with coffee. I am also completely addicted to DrBenKim.com! ;-)

i must say it's a bit pricey , and i to was reluctant , I'm so happy , i did make the purchase , and will over and over . I'm quite poor and enjoy good health , And i haven't any faith in the OBOMA CARE... i put my money wear my mouth is so to speak ,good in good out ,so why wood i need health care . I'm eating the best organic food available , and this milk powder is fabulous i am so thankful to Dr Ben he's got so many wonderful products , i get what i can , and i also received a bonus gift . so how cool is that...peace and love to all ...tboi...oh it was skin cream , the gift ,i love it too..(0)(-)

@Lori Sorry about your experience. As I've just mentioned, I love this product. However, it must be pointed out that it's quite rich. I don't think this is meant to be consumed straight as some people would drink milk. This is more for adding to shakes, cooking with, etc. I like to mix the coconut milk with yogurt or kefir and add it to my cereal. This way I get the coconut flavor without overpowering the rest of the ingredients.

I made Curry Coconut Chicken last night for the first time and it was out of this world! No canned coconut milk can come close to this. Thank you for this wonderful product.

P.S. Hint: don't try to mix the powder in cold water from the fridge. It ain't gonna work :-) Otherwise, it mixes easily with just a few whisks of fork.

Hi Peggy,

About one tablespoon of coconut milk powder makes a good cup of coconut milk. But you can adjust the amount you use to produce your desired consistency, from a light milk to a rich cream. I hope this helps!
