Welcome Message & About Us
Hello, and welcome to my natural health Web site.
My name is Ben Kim. I'm a chiropractor and acupuncturist living and working in Barrie, Ontario, Canada.
I started this Web site back in March of 2003 when I established a residential fasting and chiropractic clinic in Ontario. At that time, my goal was to write one health article per month to provide ongoing guidance and encouragement to people who were under my care.
In the summer of 2004, I met Chet Day, a professional health writer living in rural North Carolina. As Chet and I discussed our experiences in the natural health care field, we quickly realized that we shared similar views on natural health and healing. Chet encouraged me to spend as much time as I could writing about the many health lessons that I had learned over the years through my studies and clinical practice.
So in September of 2004, I began the writing one new health article per week for this site. Since that time, I have published hundreds of health articles, all of which are accessible through the navigation menu to your left and the Google search feature that is at the top of every page of this site.
The goal of this site is simple: it's to help you understand what you need to do on a regular basis to experience your best health.
If you've been searching for answers to your health concerns, you might be feeling confused by the conflicting views that exist in conventional and alternative medical circles on different health challenges. As you read through my articles, I hope that you gain clarity on your concerns, and confidence in your ability to support your best health via your daily lifestyle choices. Through my practice, I have helped enough people recover from severe and chronic health challenges to know that there is always reason to hope for and expect improvement with your health if you apply the principles found throughout this site.
If you're not sure where to start, please feel free to view some of the following articles that I have written on common health concerns:
Most Important Steps for Health Recovery & Maintenance
How to Prevent Diabetes Mellitus Type 2
Why Frequent Blinking is Essential for Healthy Eyes and Optimal Vision
How to Protect Your Health In The Computer Era
If you find this site to be helpful, then I encourage you to sign up for my free e-newsletter below. Doing so will allow you to receive a series of eight newsletters, one per week, that will point you toward other popular health articles on this site. You will also receive new articles as they are published.

Reviews
Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate your newsletter. As a fellow health care provider (optometrist) and medical researcher, I find your distillation of the literature into lay terms to be accurate and very understandable. I really enjoyed your contribution regarding macular degeneration. Keep up the good work. - Kristine Erickson, OD, PhD, FAAO
I get a lot of e-mailed newsletters and yours is the only one I read thoroughly from top to bottom. Your advice is enlightening, educational, easy to follow and it works! Thank you so much for all that you offer. - Lisa Abramovic
Thanks for your excellent health newsletter. I look forward to it every week. Thanks for providing the best online health resource I have found. - Moorea Maguire, M.A.
I thank you and your staff for such a great website. I am former National Level Bodybuilder so I know a thing or two about health and fitness. Your site is very valuable and I do my best to pass it on to friends and people I train. It is also a helpful resource in my career as a human service provider working with clients who need to recover from substance abuse. I believe a major part of recovery is getting your body and mind feeling healthy and strong. Thank you again! Great Website! - Michael Christopher, MSW
