Recipe for Good Blood Circulation

If you're looking to include foods in your diet that can help to promote and maintain strong and steady blood flow through your circulatory system, give this simple and delicious fig, citrus, and romaine lettuce salad recipe a try.

Figs provide a number of minerals that directly or indirectly support your cardiovascular system, the most prominent ones being potassium, manganese, and calcium.

Citrus provides an all-natural source of vitamin C, which is essential to maintaining strong and flexible blood vessels.

Romaine lettuce is also an excellent source of vitamin C, as well as more than a dozen other nutrients that directly or indirectly support your blood circulation, the most significant ones being beta-carotene, iron, folate, manganese, vitamin K, and chromium.

Ingredients:

6-8 ripe figs, washed, dried, and quartered
1 large head romaine lettuce, washed and dried and torn into bite-size pieces
Juice of 1/2 lemon
Juice of 1/4 orange
1 tablespoon extra-virgin olive oil

Directions:

Use a fork to thoroughly whisk lemon and orange juice with extra-virgin olive oil.

Combine citrus-olive oil dressing with lettuce in a large salad bowl and give lettuce a good toss until the dressing is evenly distributed.

Add fig quarters to the top of dressed greens.

The quantities listed in the ingredients section produce approximately 4 regular servings.

Please note: If fresh figs are not readily available, it's fine to use dried figs; simply soak dried figs for at least one hour in water before drying and quartering.

Enjoy this delicious and good-for-your-blood-circulation salad!

Greens & Vitamin C are MIRICLE FOODS!

I just wanted to thank Dr. Kim for everything he does for so many of us and always with the utmost precision, professionalism and love. My family just received more GREENS. I can’t believe how fast they came - Thank you, we were completely out! I swear the GREENS and your Vitamin C have kept my Dad alive. He has peripheral neuropathy and takes a shocking amount of pharmaceutical drugs on a daily basis, including Methadone for his intense chronic pain. When he ran out, he got so sick within days. I had to overnight him the GREENS and Vitamin C and he was so much improved within just a couple of days! Also, I have a kitty that almost died twice due to a heart condition. She was given less than a 1% chance of survival. She survived and we took her to a cardiologist who said she may not live a month. That was almost a year ago and she is going strong. I don't know if I am supposed to, but I put a small amount of GREENS into her all-natural organic kitty food a few times a week and I bet she is doing so well because of it. IT IS MIRACLE FOOD! I have had my daughter on the Vitamin C and GREENS since she was a little baby and she is so healthy and strong. People ask what my secret is and I tell them I avoid conventional doctors and all doctors unless she is sick, which is virtually never, we do not vaccinate and give her GREENS and the Vitamin C daily. They say yuck and most are shocked and some appalled, but she loves them mixed in some juice and the proof is in the pudding. If I forget to drink my GREENS and Vitamin C, I feel like I am run down in just a couple of days, so does my husband and my business partner. We eat almost completely organic and natural healthy foods, so you would think that was enough, but it’s not. I swear by your products and appreciate you taking care of my family, even if it is from afar.

Just a note to let you know how much I appreciate your newsletter. As a fellow health care provider (optometrist) and medical researcher, I find your distillation of the literature into lay terms to be accurate and very understandable. I thank you and your staff for such a great website. I am former National Level Bodybuilder so I know a thing or two about health and fitness. Your site is very valuable and I do my best to pass it on to friends and people I train. It is also a helpful resource in my career as a human service provider working with clients who need to recover from substance abuse. I believe a major part of recovery is getting your body and mind feeling healthy and strong. Thank you again! Great Website! - Michael Christopher, MSW
