Vegan Pesto Recipe

Ingredients:

• 100 grams of fresh basil (about 2 large handfuls)
• Juice from half a lemon
• Half cup extra-virgin olive oil
• Quarter cup water
• Four garlic cloves
• One cup of nutritional yeast
• One cup of sliced almonds
• Half to one full teaspoon of sea salt, adjust to taste

Directions:

Combine all ingredients in a blender and and blend. Add more olive oil and/or water if needed, either to help the blending along or to reach desired consistency.

This pesto sauce is mouthwateringly yummy over pasta, rice, a salad, sautéed or grilled veggies, or a combo of all of the above. Enjoy! :)
