Inspiration

I've been following Alex Honnold for a few years now, always inspired and terrified by his free solo climbing pursuits.

Alex's other-worldly climb of Yosemite's iconic El Capitan in 2017 was gorgeously captured by filmmakers Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi and Jimmy Chin in a documentary called Free Solo, which won an Oscar for Best Documentary for 2018. I give thanks to everyone who dedicated enormous chunks of their lives to allow us to vicariously journey with Alex in this way.
