How to Liberate Your Shoulders by Stretching Your Lats and Posterior Shoulder Region
Here are some variations on how to lengthen your lats and posterior shoulder region, thereby optimizing your shoulder mobility.
Your lats and the many tissues that make up your posterior shoulder region - including your posterior deltoid fibers, infraspinatus, teres minor, teres major, and even heads of your triceps muscle - can restrict shoulder and scapular mobility if hypertonic from poor posture, overuse, or even lack of use.
Stretching this area at least a few times a week is generally beneficial to shoulder and even spinal mobility.
