Over the past week, I've received a handful of notes from people suffering with pain in different areas, including the abdomen, back, hips, and feet.
Beyond the obvious step of getting appropriate rest for an injured body part, it can be remarkably helpful to fast for a good stretch each day as a way of reducing systemic inflammation and allowing the body to devote the bulk of its resources to healing the problematic area.
An unfortunate reality for those who are inclined to be helpful and compassionate is that they naturally become easy targets for those who have no qualms about repeatedly taking advantage of others. Just under two weeks ago, I sent out a note about our client care manager Rebecca losing her oldest daughter who was just 24 and left behind two young children.
I know that Rebecca was deeply moved by the generosity and thoughtfulness of those who contributed to a fund to help with funeral expenses as well as the care of her two grandchildren in the months ahead. With the funds raised, Rebecca was able to arrange a final resting place and services for her daughter. Read more
Early this morning, I was greatly saddened to learn that our client care manager Rebecca lost her oldest daughter yesterday.
Rebecca's daughter was in her mid-20s and left behind two beautiful children, ages 7 and 4.
Those of you who have communicated with Rebecca over the past few years likely have a good sense of how kind she is. I count her as one of the most thoughtful, hardworking, and humble people I know. Read more
